Bicyclist Woodrow ‘Security’ Franklin Jr., 47, died as a result of injuries sustained in a collision with an 18-wheeler on North Davidson St. and Jordan Place. Jordan Pl. is the Matheson St. exit onto N. Davidson. Check back for memorial plans.

Based on the aerial photos that are on Channel 9′s website, it looks like the accident occurred on Jordan Pl. just east of Brevard – alongside that large brick building. http://www.wsoctv.com/gallery/news/local/photos-scene-n-davidson-st-crash/g8GR/#3165019

Woodrow was a really good friend of mine. He was a good person he would give the shirt off his back and ask nothing in return . I was really hurt to hear about this on the news . He was also very careful on his bicycle so I am not sure how this occurred or what was going on to make him make such a move . RIP Jr (aka….. security)

Arebia, Sorry for the loss of your friend. He deserved to be able to ride his bicycle safely.
