John Trexler, 61,  died from injuries sustained in a bicycle crash in Cabarrus County.  John crashed on the curve of the fast descent on Zion Church Rd during a Cannonballs team ride.  John was a popular cyclist and musician in the Charlotte community and will be greatly missed.

John’s family and friends, including mutual friends,  have my most sincere condolences.

From the Charlotte Observer: A group of Charlotte-area musicians is expected to meet and play in honor of Trexler from 7 to 9 p.m. on June 17 at RiRa Restaurant, where John played Celtic music every Sunday night for years. The restaurant is located at 208 N. Tryon St.
