I was pulling a horse trailer down a road out in the country an came up on 8 bicycle riders all in a roll, I followed them for a mile an the hole time they kept waving their hands wanting me to pass them, they never looked back to see what I was pulling. bicycle riders need to realize they also need to share the road and think while their on it. They should keep a gap in between so a car can pass and have a place to pull back in. Every time you see a bicycle event their riding down the road in doubles some times 20 to a group like you just showed on your news channel. you can’t shut the roads down for these events they need to use their heads for their on safety. they have the same right as an automobile but they also need to realize the roads aren’t just theirs during a bicycle event or any other time.

Terrell from the Charlotte Area Horse Pullers Alliance (CAHPA). Waxhaw chapter, right? Thanks for leaving the comment. I’m glad the cyclists shared the road and attempted to waive you around. I hope you forgive them for not realizing you were pulling a horse trailer. Don’t expect cyclists to welcome you into a gap. Keep in mind, that when gaps do develop riders are working very hard to close them.
Perhaps you now understand how the drivers stuck behind your trailer feel. Seriously, long slow moving vehicles won’t win any popularity contests. Don’t you think it’s a bit ironic that you, in a slow moving vehicle got excited about not being able to pass other slow moving vehicles. We are one in the same, my friend.
