Haters
The Charlotte Observer web site ran a story about the auto-bicycle collision that killed cyclist Bruce Rosar in Apex. Bruce was on the Board of the League of American Bicyclists among other positions of importance. As a safety instructor, I’m absolutely sure he was a safer cyclist that I am. My thoughts are with Bruce’s family and with those that knew him.
Regarding the on-line comments from the Observer web site:
I don’t leave comments on the Observer and I’ve stopped reading them. I’ve come to understand that the comments are a social medium for the friendless; it’s like Facebook for Mooresvillians. I didn’t expect mature dialog, but I also wasn’t too surprised by the hateful comments. At least three of the commentors seemed to be enjoying a kind of victory. I’m repulsed.
