Sedgefield Middle School student, ‘Cris-Cris’, 13, was killed from a crash with a CMS school bus while riding her bicycle. The bus driver’s view was obstructed by a tractor trailer as she collided with Potts in the cross-walk.
The bus driver was not charged with the accident.
This is a true tragedy. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

i go 2 sedgefield middle skool now. i wasnt present when it happened bt i fell sad cuz i never met bt my older friends tell me about her.so sorry dat u had 2 die lyk dat shcrissony.may u rest in peace!

i been going to sedgefield ever since 6 grade and we knew her she was the best basketball player on the team and that is wrong how she die, but we think she could have died in another way.Plus they could have said something to prevent this tragic moment. AND TILL DIS DAY WE STILL MISS YOU R.I.P

everytime i go by the place where Cris had gotton hit i just cant cope abotu what happened to her. She was the most wonderful 8th grader in the school. When we had to move to the elective hall Ms. Vanhorn cried cause the class that Ms. Vanhorn teached in Cris was in also. It mainly brung here back memorys of the 1 and only number 14 Cris Potts. Sorry to and to others mother that had this tragic moments to happen to your or an specific child. May GOD keep you under his wing

Potts–I will always miss you and remember you. In my class you always encouraged others and never gave up. You were a true team player. To me, you have the character and perserverence that I hope future students at Sedgefield will never forget. Today I finished a table for you..we are planting flowers for you this week…so others know that through you life goes on–to enjoy it…to encourage others…and to grow. Also, you would want your friends and others to have a comfy place to hang out after practice. Ms. V.

I remember like it was yesterday..i was suspended and i was in the house when i heard sirens and the perimedics. i begged my mom to go outside..so i turned on the new and saw her picture and news reporters saying bus and bike collision..i didnt wanna believe it it was just to sad…

I met Shcrissony before she went to Sedgefield,. Im sorry that happened to her… and me n her was so close, she tauqht me how 2 ball and everythinq. She will definitly be remembered. I Love You Crit,. R.i.P

I remember when me shcrissony and our boyfriends(lls) was hanging out during recess we used to always play fight and she always made me laugh when i got the text message saying that you was dead i thought it was all a joke then everbody was like its real she rode her bike on the side of the school bus i started to cry cause even though i had just met you my 7th grade year we had became the best of friends i love you and you always in my heart R.I.P crit crit
